Airstream designs the latest model, a mobile office, with teleworkers in mind

One important job advantage over this home office? It’s mobile.

Airstream, the maker of sleek silver trailers suitable for Americans who want to live out a stylish #vanlife, on Tuesday announced a new office-inspired model for those working remotely during the pandemic.

The Flying Cloud 30FB Office, as it is called, is advertised as optimized for the worker on the go, with a dedicated office with enough space for the family to enjoy a comfortable work-life balance, according to Airstream.

MORE AMERICANS WILL CONSIDER DECISIONLY LIVING FROM A SAND TO SAVE MONEY

Airstream says its new model was made specifically to combat the challenges and opportunities in light of the coronavirus pandemic. And because more businesses can make employees work remotely, Airstream is asking consumers the question, “Why do I work from home?” wrote the company in a blog post.

The Flying Cloud 30FB office, according to its online description, is equipped with enough outlets for power cables and audio-resistant materials to eliminate noise during an important call.

“With a little preparation to ensure connectivity at the campsite or a captivating location, virtual meetings and email communication are ensured,” Airstream writes.

Inside, there is a designated office space with a wide desk and space for a laptop, notebooks and other electronics, along with multiple USB ports, and drawers and storage cabins to make your workspace disappear. There is also a drying board, tinted curtains for privacy and a swivel chair fastened with a strap so employees can stay locked in their workspaces.

But perhaps the greatest work of this home office is the ability to have access to the outdoors when it’s time to switch off for the work day.

“Go out for a hike during your break. Grab the kayaks and ride downstream, knowing that you will virtually be able to meet up with your team later when you return to your campsite,” Airstream says in its blog post.

The Airstream Flying Cloud 30FB Office also has a queen-size bed, a dining table that converts into a sleeping area, and a Blu Ray and DVD player. The trailer sold for $ 107,500.

Indeed, more Americans are on the road to outings due to the pandemic, with cinemas, restaurants and other popular leisure stores still operating with limited capacity – or completely off limits – in parts of the country.

As many as 52% of Americans have considered living full-time or part-time in caravans or caravans, equipped with amenities such as beds, stoves, storerooms, a bathroom and WiFi, according to a survey conducted on behalf of relocation company Move .org in October.
