With no streaming service to use and on the heels of selling Lord / Miller’s The Mitchells vs The Machines to Netflix, Sony has opted for the releases of Ghostbusters: The Hereafter, Unknown, Cinderella and Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway, according to Deadline.

The latest installment in the Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis franchise will move from June date to November 11, where it stands alone, while the live-action / CGI hybrid family enters theaters Ghostbusters‘place, and leave the Easter weekend date with MGMs No time to die. The adaptation of Camila Cabello’s fairy tale at the front has moved from February to July 16, where it will perform against Space Jam: A New Legacy, and the processing of the beloved Naughty Dog franchise led by Tom Holland is the biggest delay in moving from July this year to February 11, 2022.

Ghostbusters: The Hereafter concentrates on a new family with single Callie (Carrie Coon) and her two children, Trevor and Phoebe (Finn Wolfhard & Mckenna Grace), moving into a dilapidated farmhouse in Oklahoma to discover that there is something strange in the area. Unexplained tremors shake the town. There’s an old mine in the area that bears the name of Ivo Shandor, who built the Manhattan building in the 1984 movie that channeled the forces of evil. Paul Rudd is a local teacher who has documented the unexplained phenomena, befriended Callie and her children and helped the connection between the current strangeness and the events of three decades before.

12-year-old Mckenna Grace (Captain Marvel, Annabelle comes home) star in Ghostbusters: The Hereafter, with Carrie Coon (The remains) plays her mother and Finn Wolfhard (Stranger things, IT) as her brother. Paul Rudd (Avengers: Endgame) plays a teacher in the film, while Oliver Cooper and Bokeem Woodbine will also be seen. Original stars Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, Sigourney Weaver and Annie Potts will portray their characters.

Jason Reitman (Juno, Young adult, Tully) director of the new film, which took over from his father, Ivan Reitman, who helped and produced the first two. Reitman, who had a cameo in 1989 Ghostbusters 2, co-wrote the screenplay with Gil Kenan (Monsterhuis, Poltergeist), who is no stranger to ghost stories.

The musical film remake of Cinderella is said to be a modern remake of the classic fairy tale of an orphaned girl with an evil stepmother with a musical tendency. Kay Cannon, who the Pitch Perfect comedies, earned three Emmy nominations for NBCs 30 Rock and director last year’s comedy Blockers, will direct and write the film.

Emmy winner Billy Porter and Tony winner and Camly Cabello in her debut as lead princess. Frozen star Idina Menzel, who plays the roles of the godmother and the evil stepmother, respectively. Nicholas Galitzine will also appear in the film (The knock under my feet) as Prince Robert and Pierce Brosnan as the King with Maddie Baillio and Charlott Spencer. Emmy-winning comedian James Corden (Peter Rabbit) and John Mulaney (Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse) with Romesh Ranganathan (The reluctant landlord) also joined the cast as the mouse buttons of the title character.

The idea for the project stems from an original idea by James Corden, a late program presenter, who will co-produce with his Fulwell 73 partner Leo Pearlman.

In Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway, the lovely crook is back. Bea, Thomas and the Bunnies have created an impromptu family, but despite his best efforts, Peter does not seem to be shaking up his mischievous reputation. Peter comes out of the garden and finds himself in a world where his misfortune is appreciated, but when his family dares to come looking for him, Peter must find out what kind of bunny he wants to be.

James Corden will once again lead the voice as the voice of Peter Rabbit with Margot Robbie and Elizabeth Debicki returning as the voices of Flopsy Rabbit and Mopsy Rabbit. Domhnall Gleeson and Rose Byrne will also reevaluate their roles as Thomas and Bea. The sequel will also feature the addition of Emmy-nominated David Oyelowo.

Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway will be re-written and directed by Will Gluck, who co-wrote the screenplay with Patrick Burleigh. It is produced by Gluck and Zareh Nalbandian with Doug Belgrad, Jodi Hildebrand, Catherine Bishop, Emma Topping, Thomas Merrington and Jonathan Hludzinski serving as executive producers.

The first film earned mixed reviews from critics, but earned more than $ 320 million worldwide, surpassing similar family franchises Paddington 2, which earned more than $ 225 million at the worldwide box office and achieved a “Certified Fresh” score from Rotten Tomatoes.

Based on the action-adventure video game Unknown: Drake’s Fortune of Naughty Dog and Sony Interactive follows the story of a descendant of explorer Sir Francis Drake, a treasure hunter named Nate Drake, who believes he learned the location of El Dorado, the legendary South American golden city, from a cursed gold statue. The search becomes competitive when a rival hunter joins the fight, and is then heightened when creatures – actually mutated descendants of Spaniards and Nazis – start attacking those hoping to learn the treasure of true secrets.

Unknown is an Arad / Atlas Entertainment Production, with Charles Roven, Avi Arad, Alex Gartner and Ari Arad producing. The film will serve as the first feature produced by PlayStation Productions. The film will be released on July 16, 2021.

Despite previous concepts by people like Mark Boal (The Hurt Locker, Zero dark thirty), Oscar-nominated David O. Russell, Doctor Strangesee Thomas Dean Donnelly and Joshua Oppenheimer, House of safetyDavid Guggenheim and Joe Carnahan, the new concept of the screenplay, was written by Rafe Judkins, Art Marcum and Matt Holloway.

Travis Knight became the sixth director to leave the project in his decades-long development cycle, starting with Russell as director, followed by Neil Burger (Boundless), Seth Gordon (Baywatch), Shawn Levy (Free ou), and Dan Trachtenberg (10 Cloverfield Lane).
