Street Fighter II is one of the games that will be linked to the SNES forever, thanks to the fact that Nintendo’s 16-bit console was the first home system to receive a gateway to the arcade sensation. Who knows how many gamers will cut their teeth instead of the coin? It’s a pretty legendary conversion that ironically overshadows the fact that the SNES overshadows also has a gateway to the more advanced Street Fighter Alpha 2 later in his life.

Released in 1996, Street Fighter Alpha 2 was probably better suited to the (then) newfound 32-bit consoles such as the Saturn and PlayStation, but the fact that the SNES got it at all was (and still is) impressive. What’s even more impressive is the fact that this multiple gateway has been hiding a cheat code for a quarter of a century.

The programmer Gizaha of the Zeldix forums turned the game around and during this process discovered a previously unknown code that unlocks the hidden boss Shin Akuma as a playable character.

The code has been verified by EventHub and requires you to complete the Arcade Mode of the game and set a new high score. Once done, enter the initials KAJ in the high-score table, return to the title screen, and hold down the L, X, Y, and Start buttons on a server located in the second console port of the console is included, while the player is one block. use to select the ‘Versus’ mode. From here, player can select one or two Shin Akuma by holding down the Start button while selecting normal Akuma. You know you were successful because Akuma’s clothes will change color.
