The Kansas City Chiefs will likely run Clyde Edwards-Helaire against the Buffalo Bills in the AFC game on Sunday. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Chiefs will likely run Clyde Edwards-Helaire, but will be without Le’Veon Bell for today’s AFC Championship game against the Buffalo Bills, according to a source.
In addition, Chiefs WR will test WR Sammy Watkins’ prediction, but it does not look optimistic that he will play today.

Edwards-Helaire is official questionable enters the game due to a high ankle sprain he suffered this week against the New Orleans Saints. Veteran rugby Le’Veon Bell – also questionable – will be expected to miss the game after his knee swelled on Wednesday. With Bell eliminated, expect the Chiefs to use primarily a combination of Edwards-Helaire and Darrel Williams against the Bills.
The wide receiver Sammy Watkins, who also doubtful, is a playtime decision due to his calf injury. Watkins received the Chiefs in the post-season in both 2018 and 2019. The Chiefs must use a combination of Mecole Hardman, Demarcus Robinson and Byron Pringle if Watkins misses his second straight playoff game (Divisional Round snap analysis).
Corner Bashaud Breeland cleared the concussion protocol on Saturday and will play against the Bills.
The Chiefs play the Bills for the right to represent the AFC at 17:40 Arrowhead Time in Super Bowl LV.
