The Elder Scrolls may be the next big game franchise to be adapted into a TV series.
According to the insider in the industry Daniel Ritchtman (£) (thanks, Game Rant), Netflix wants to tweak the fans-favorite franchise in an effort to capitalize on the success of shows like The Witcher and Castlevania.
Although it’s just a rumor right now, it’s an acceptable tease, not least because we already know that another Bethesda franchise – this time Fallout 4 – already being adjusted by Westworld exhibitors Lisa Joy and Jonathan Nolan for Amazon. However, since Bethesda, Microsoft and Netflix are not yet responding to the rumor, we can only take the news with a skeptical salt.
In related news, Elder Scrolls 6 could be an exclusive Xbox Series X / PC, Phil Spencer recently just confirmed.
Spencer was asked about Microsoft’s recent acquisition of ZeniMax, the parent company of Bethesda and id software, the publishers of Elder Scrolls 6, Fallout, Doom and many more sincere franchises. Of course, we all wondered if that meant games like the much anticipated Elder Role 6 can be exclusive to Xbox X Series and computer.
“Is it possible to recoup a $ 7.5 billion investment if you do not sell Elder Scrolls 6 on the PlayStation?” Spencer was asked, who quickly replied with ‘yes’. Spencer expands after a break and points out that the acquisition of ZeniMax “was not done to take away games from another player base”.
