St. Paul, Minn., Police were looking for the suspect in a shooting on Saturday afternoon in which three people were killed, including two children.
Police responded to a call about an unknown medical situation when they found the victims of the shooting. Two of the victims – a woman in her thirties and a girl in her early teens – were pronounced dead at the scene, while an 8 to 12-year-old boy was transported to a local hospital where he died. . wounds a few hours later.

The circumstances surrounding the shooting were unclear, but a police officer conducted a welfare check at the residence just one hour before the shooting, according to St. Mike Ernster
“He was called here by a concerned family member from outside the state who wanted us to look after the well-being of the alleged victim in this house. Our officer did come here, he did talk to her in front of the door and explain why he was there., “Ernster told reporters Saturday night. “She looked at him and said, ‘I’m OK, tell them I’m OK.’ ‘
Police said they believe the woman who died with the police officer earlier in the day was the woman in her thirties who later died. They did another welfare test at the same residence before Saturday.
“We’ve been here once before in a similar call, a welfare test,” Ernster said. ‘They were fair [concerned about] her well-being, that she may be in danger, the type of calls, possibly a domestic type of situation. “

The police chief in St. Paul Todd Axtell called the shooting “a senseless tragedy that left us all sad.”
“The investigators and officers will continue to work the clock until they find the person responsible,” he said.
