According to Leaker, the new Apple Silicon iMac will have a larger screen that is more than 27 centimeters

Famous delicious l0vetodream said today that the upcoming iMac redesign will have a larger display than the current iMac series.

Apple currently sells iMacs in two sizes; a 21.5-inch model and a 27-inch model. The leaker suggests that the new iMac will have a display that is the largest of Apple yet and therefore is more than 27 inches. Maybe Apple wants to match the Apple Pro Display XDR and create a 32-inch all-in-one machine?

The new iMac is expected to have a radical redesign, as the current iMac’s industrial design is almost eight years back with extraordinarily large screen panels and a sloping chassis.

The new iMac is expected to take design cues from the 2018 iPad Pro aesthetics with a reduced edge and flatter edges. In January, Bloomberg said the iMac would look similar to the Pro Display XDR.

We heard persistent rumors that the 21.5-inch small iMac will upgrade its screen to 24 inches as part of the redesign, resulting in a machine that is about the same physical size as the current iMac, thanks to the supposed shrinkage of the screen panel. . (Apple actually made 24-inch iMacs more than a decade ago before the iMac switched to an aluminum housing).

The tweet from l0vetodream today suggests that the high-end iMac will also get an increased screen size, exceeding the current 27-inch size. Historically, 27 inches is as big as the iMac has never been. However, the Apple Cinema Display has been sold in a 30-inch size, which is a possible route here, as is similar to the 32-inch screen found in the Pro Display XDR.

The new iMac series is expected to debut sometime in the next few months with a next-generation Apple Silicon chip. We’ve already seen Apple end the high-end iMac Pro and sell many BTO configurations of the 21.5-inch iMac as it prepares for a product revision.
