According to IMDB poll, Ragnarok voted for the most anticipated release of 2021

God of War: Ragnarok has been officially named the most anticipated 2021 release by fans on IMDB.

The next few years are expected to be packed with huge releases to fill in last year’s delays, which will make the world normal again at some point. Among this dish of new titles is Santa Monica Studio’s God of War: Ragnarok, which was recently named the most anticipated video game of 2021.

The poll was hosted by IMDB and hosted 35 upcoming matches against each other and gave it to the public to announce a winner. Now that the results are coming soon, we can see that the next installment in Kratos’ saga reached the votes with only 320 votes. To put this in perspective, Horizon: Forbidden West took second place with 180 votes, while Far Cry 6 took third place with 106. Other titles in progress included Hogwarts Legacy, Gotham Knights and The Lord of the Rings: Gollum – who all made the top ten.

Ragnarok was announced last September and will continue Kratos and Atreus’ story thereafter brutal wreath at the end of God of War. It is reported that Sony’s next installment in the series may skip the PS4 version to focus on a next generation experience. There were also several rumors about Roger Clark’s potential involvement with Ragnarok, most of which linked the Red Dead Redemption 2 actor as Thor’s voice. Aside from speculation, we know at least that the sequel will be aimed at impressing, so we also set out everything we expect from the story.

Ragnarok’s development team welcomed some interesting new players in the series, including the recent arrival of the Last of Us Part 2 sound designer Beau Anthony Jiminez. The former Naughty Dog employee has also worked on Uncharted: The Lost Legacy and Ori and the Blind Forest, and we are excited to see his talent used for Ragnarok. Alanah Pearce also joined the team in November as a writer.

Ragnarok was teased during Sony’s PS5 show last year with a brief unveiling of the game’s logo. The teaser contained the words “Ragnarok is coming”, and the logo was covered with runes – which the fans quickly translated.
