Warzone players have unveiled one feature they really want to add to the Call of Duty battle royal title – and it’s being copied directly from its rivals Fortnite and Apex Legends.
Fortnite was possibly the greatest game that ever existed at its peak, and has won the Battle Royale genre among millions upon millions of fans worldwide.
It has launched a huge wave of new BR games, including Apex Legends which remains super popular to this day and of course Warzone.
That said, although the games are all different, they have different similarities and are not afraid to take ideas from each other when certain features work. Fortnite, for example, introduced the Reboot Van as a direct copy of Apex’s Respawn Beacon.
Warzone is still in its infancy when compared to Fortnite and Apex Legends.
There is now one feature in Fortnite and Apex Legends that wants to introduce Warzone players to Verdansk, and that could be a complete game changer.
At the moment, most of your drops will be judged mainly on the basis of where the first circle is. For example, you might like to drop Quarry, but if the circle is on the southwest side of the map, you might as well aim for train station or Promenade West.
What some players want to see is no first circle marker when they fly in – you choose your drop based on where you want to land rather than where the circle spreads a little more in the foyer and also means you have to adjust immediately. This is a very popular concept with other Warzone players, garnering thousands of votes.
It is said that there are also some opponents, and some players are worried that it will add too much RNG to the game or that players will always fall in the same places.
It will certainly cause a more interesting decline, but whether it will work in the long run remains to be seen. Fortnite and Apex Legends clearly have a definite endurance, so they do something right – maybe Warzone can copy it to further enhance the game.
