Central Romana initiated these works on the construction of the Zona Franca Romana park, by the Central Romana Corporation company, giving the symbolic act of the first palace staged by President Luis Abinader.

The event took place in the installations of La Romana Industrial Park, which began operations in 1969 being the first complex of franc zones in the country.
The books of Central Romana announce that this inversion is the first phase of a conjunction of majorities and transformations that will be carried out in one quintile of square meters of its industrial complex, having the highest standards in safety and industrial hygiene, in addition national and international certifications.
In the separate act of the presence of Luis Abinader estuvieron presents the engineer Eduardo Martínez Lima, Executive Vice President of Central Romana; Víctor –Ito- Bisonó, Minister of Industry and Trade; and Regine Wolfgramm, General Manager of the Tabacalera de García.
Participating are Leo Matos García and Eduardo Martínez-Lima Gonzalvo, Vice-Presidents of the Central Romanian Administration, respectively; Ministers José Ignacio Paliza, Luis Miguel De Camps, and Limber Cruz; Luis Emilio Rodriguez, director of the Zona Franca Romana Opera; the CEO of Aduanas, Eduardo Sanz Lovatón; Julio López, Administrator of the Zona Franca Romana Operator; Daniel Liranzo, executive director of the National Council of French Zones, among other authorities and government figures.
“There are more than fifty decades of pioneering in this model of business for the Dominican Republic, generating new jobs in the establishment of foreign companies that we trust in the future of our country,” said Francois Luisa Emilio.
It also indicates that the Zona Franca Romana park will be equipped with a new infrastructure at the new times with modern equipment and that the installation of a treatment plant for residual water will be carried out, in accordance with the agreement of the company with the company.
