The ‘Zombieland: Double Tap’ actress posted on social media on Friday night, with a series of photos along with a long message.
Abigail Breslin on Friday night shared a heartfelt tribute to her father Michael, who died of complications due to COVID-19.
The Zombieland: Double Tap actress (24) posted the devastating news in a long message on her Instagram account, along with a series of photos. “Oh woe,” she began. ‘Difficult to write it. Harder than I thought. I was shocked and devastated. At 18:32 EST my sweet, perfect, wonderful, heroic, wonderful dada passed away to my family and I said goodbye. It was COVID-19 that cut short my sweet dad’s life. ‘
“I mostly want to remember my father for who he was,” Breslin wrote, noting that Michael was a hilarious, noisy, stubborn, rebellious, intelligent, sweet, amazing man who loved life, his family and the simple things. , like a cup of black coffee, braai, doowop songs like “I Wonder Why” by Dion & The Belmonts, and funny stories about people’s pets.
Among the photos was one of a young Breslin and her father during a prize-giving ceremony – presumably around the time of Little Miss Sunshine – with Nicole Kidman featured prominently.
“And we loved him,” Breslin wrote. “And we will always do it. I miss you Daddy. I can not wait to see you again. I will never, ever, ever forget you.”
On February 10, Breslin revealed on Twitter that her father tested positive for COVID-19 and had to be placed on a ventilator. She urged her followers to continue wearing masks and following COVID-19 protocols.
Breslin later wrote in a tweet: “All I can say is this: Covid is never real again if you have experienced it first hand or by a loved one. It is unpredictable and relentless. My father was incredibly careful and had have not left the house since its inception, except for doctor’s appointments. Be safe.
