Aaron Rodgers reveals he is engaged days after rumors spread about Shailene Woodley

Aaron Rodgers has revealed he is engaged a few days after rumors surfaced that he was dating actress Shailene Woodley.

Although the soccer player did not name the actress by name, he used two brief moments from his acceptance speech for the award of the year’s Most Valuable Player during the NFL Honors on Saturday night, to mention that he got engaged this year and she fiancé thanks for the support.

The Green Bay Packers quarterback (37) was announced by Kevin Hart as this year’s MVP during the mostly virtual ceremony. Rodgers appears via a video call, where he delivers a heartfelt speech about the difficult season and thanks those closest to him for helping him through it.

“It’s an honor to win this award for the third time. 2020 was definitely a crazy year, filled with a lot of change, growth, amazing memorable moments. 180 days in a row scratching my nose. Playing for very few fans or no “All season long, I got engaged, and I played some of the best football of my career.” Rodgers said.

Later in the interview, he mentions his ‘fiancée’ on the list of family and friends who deserve his thanks.

Days before its grand unveiling, a source told E! News that Rodgers and Woodley (29) have been a ‘low key’ couple for a while.

“They saw each other and had contact,” E! ‘S source said about the couple, who are believed to be in a long-distance relationship.

The insider added: “They keep talking and seeing each other when they can. They are both focused on their careers, but they also make time for each other.”

Rodgers’ big aspirations came to an end this year after the Green Bay Packers lost to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the NFC Championship on January 24th. Woodley, on the other hand, is reportedly working on the film, “Misanthrope,” according to reports in Canada.

Rodgers had previously dated Danica Patrick for two years, but they broke up in July. Before that, he was romantically linked to actress Olivia Munn from 2014 to 2017.
