The local teenager in Florida who was fatally set on fire while trying to escape from a car fire after an accident has been identified as a local high school senior and cadet lieutenant in the US Navy’s Junior Reserve, according to a local branch report. Officer Training Corps program.
Valentina Tomashosky, 17, died Sunday after leaving her car in Spring Hil, WTVT, reports the television station owned by Fox in Tampa. Police did not respond to Fox News’ request for more information.

Tomashosky was driving through the car through heavy weather Sunday afternoon when her car hit a cut-off power line that fell with a tree earlier in the day, the Florida Highway Patrol and WTVT said.

She stopped the car and the driver’s side caught fire, and at that point she got out of the vehicle through the passenger side and walked according to the officials and the report on the live wire.
She could not be saved.
According to Fox Tampa station, Tomashosky was nicknamed “Val” and was in her final year at Central High School in Hernando. She apparently planned to attend Pasco-Hernando State College.
Tomashosky reportedly rose to the rank of cadet lieutenant in the Navy’s JROTC program, which she joined four years ago.
