LLEIDA, 18 March (EUROPE PRESS) –

Full attention to ‘mindfulness’ reduces the levels of stress and psychopathological pathology in medical students, which presents a high prevalence of these changes during university career, training with residents and, in particular, in particular an investigation by the University of Lleida (UdL).

Los investigates Pere Oró, Montse Esquerda, Blanca Mas, Joan Viñas, Oriol Yuguero and Josep Pifarré, and he has a public ‘Mindfullness’, which informs the UdL and un comunicado este jueves.

The full attention program was developed over a long period of 16 weeks, with eight ‘mindfulness’ sessions of two hours each guided by the psychologist Pere Oró.

“It is a practice that combines structured, formal and informal interventions, basing itself on performing a particular way: centered on the present moment, on the proposal, and without establishing value judgments”, explains Oró, chief of the investigator.

The team carried out evaluations of the participants before and after the intervention and tested that the program based on ‘mindfulness’ produces a clearer degree in psychopathological and osteoarthritis, and no effects have been observed in the sensation of professional disgust or’ burn out ‘.

“The student of Medicine presents a high level of scintillation of stress, appearance and ‘burnout’ for the high academic requirements required, the overload of work and the responsibility of the professional profession”, explains the professor of the UdL and researcher in the Montserrat study.

The researcher agrees that “this study can contribute to the design of a training program to promote effective self-help strategies for the student as well as for the medical team”.

The study was conducted by a United investigator and involved 143 students between 20 and 28 years old, a 73% female.
