Victor Smith, a 91-year-old man from Ohio, accidentally got two shots of the COVID vaccine in a single day.
According to the local news station with NBC, the results were not good WLWT5.
‘His blood pressure at [one] point was 86 over 47 and so they could not administer Lasix which would help the fluid around the lungs because his blood pressure was too low, ”said daughter Dawn Smith Theodore. WLWT5. “They told me he was not going to get it.”
According to Theodore, Smith felt extremely tired and dropped out on January 22 after his first dose of vaccine. While recovering from rehabilitation after the fall, he would get another chance on February 25th.
‘They transported him to get his shot, and when he came back I talked to him, he was fine, and then at 15:45 I entered a firefighter in town and said they had a shot for Victor and the nurse said ‘Victor Smith?’ and he said ‘yes’, and they gave him the room number and sent him to room 202 where my father was,’ says Theodore WLWT5.
According to Theodore, they got the wrong Victor. The result: Smith received two more vaccinations after his first in January.
After I got quite sick, WLWT5 reported, Smith is now recovering.
The facility where Smith was housed laid the blame for the incident on first responders.
“The individual was a patient of Jamestowne Rehabilitation where all vaccinations are completed by outsiders trained and appropriately certified, in this case the City of Hamilton Fire Department,” a joint statement by the City of Hamilton and Community First Solutions received by WLWT5, read.
“Our thoughts are with the patient and his family as he continues his recovery,” the statement continued.
Following the madness, Smith will at least be able to reunite with his children after his recovery, according to the latest guidelines from the CDC.
