A Look At The Past, Present And Future Of Georgia Agents Gunner Stockton Brock Vandagriff Developed

Georgia has now landed five-star backs in rugby tension classes. The Bulldogs signed Brock Vandagriff in the 2021 yard class. Kirby Smart and Todd Monken followed suit by concluding a commitment from 5-star 2022 full-back Gunner Stockton on Thursday.

The two full-backs had previously crossed when Vandagriff’s Prince Avenue Chrisitan Academy settled against the Rabun County team in Stockton in September 2020.

The match was televised nationwide, giving many their first exposure to the two talented quarterbacks. But those who have followed DawgNation have long known what the two talented full-backs are capable of.

Browse through the gallery below to see how Stockton and Vandagriff have evolved over the years into the future of the Georgia quarterback position.

The Stockton team started that September night 38-31 over Vandagriff and Prince Avenue, but both backs showed why they have predictions. Today’s team trailed 31-7 early on, as Stockton had little trouble running through the defense of Prince Avenue. After the game, Vandagriff coach and father Greg compared Stockton to Justin Fields.

But Vandagriff made his team jog back to level the game at 31. Stockton made one final throw late in the fourth quarter to give his team the win.

It would be the last time all season that Vandagriff lost this season as he led his team to a state title.

After the game, Stockton talked a lot about Vandagriff’s performance.

These two will likely be the first quarter of the Georgia Bulldogs once Stockton arrives on campus. That could happen in the 2022 season, because it looks like JT Daniels wants to go to the NFL. Stockton will enter Georgia early, as will Vandagriff.

It should be a fascinating couple of seasons with these two on campus in Athens.
