This is the heartbreaking moment when a family dog rescued his older sister from drowning after she fell into a swimming pool.
The clip shows Luna, a 14-year-old blind pit bull, walking near the pool on December 19, before being invaded and finally rescued by fellow pooch Caipirinha.
Dog owner Julieta Firpo shared the CCTV footage taken in the garden of her home in the city of Sunchales, Argentina, praising Caipirinha for saving Luna’s life.
Next to the post she writes: “Yesterday she was walking through the patio and fell into the pool.”

She added that Luna “disappeared” and that she was disoriented in the days before the terrifying accident.
The incredible footage shows Caipirinha immediately rushing to the pool to be on his sister’s side to devise a plan.
Caipirinha tries to save her brother or sister by lowering his paw into the water and grabbing Luna’s collar.
Later, he managed to secure the emergency dogs before leading her to the shallow end of the pool in the family garden.

Fortunately, Luna, who is completely blind, was helped to the steps of the pool before climbing out and resting after the exhausting ordeal.
Heroic Caipirinha, rescued by Julieta, immediately forged a close bond with Luna after she was introduced to the family during a trip to Brazil.
The dog owner – who described Caipirinha as ‘our heroine’ – told Argentine news agency Todo Nocitas that Luna’s mother, Syrah (15), is also blind and has a close friendship with Caipirinha.
She said: “The two are inseparable. Luna is a very old pit bull, her mother Syrah, is 15 years old and also lives with us.”
Luna became part of the Firpo family after her previous owners threw her out of a car window at a Brazilian gas station.
