A Final Fantasy XIV anime short? Yes, I will bite … hard

This is my FFXIV hometown … in anime form

Square Enix just can not help themselves when it comes to customization Final fantasy games in anime. It’s actually amazing that there are extra things to discover (especially with the FFXV shorts, which were probably more coherent than several bows in the game), but this time it’s a little more volatile.

Shared by way of the Final Fantasy XIV Korea-YouTube channel, the video begins with a player character waking up in Limsa Lominsa, a radiant coastal town (also my hometown) and one of the main hubs of A realm that is born again. It all looks incredibly authentic, down to the Aetheryte, the character styles and the random Bard performance in the streets. As a reminder, FFXIV has previously had anime ads dating back to 2019.

As for this recent one below, here are a bunch of fantastic shots, most of which can be repeated in the actual game, from crafting to randomly practicing in nature with your chocobo companion. I can’t wait to see how amazing it’s going to look on PS5 (and feel it frames).
