José Eleuterio Brito Aragonés, known as Eduardo Brito, was a baritone singer of opera and Dominican Zarzuela. It is considered as the national anthem of the Dominican Republic.
Started in the Blanco section of Luperón, Puerto Plata, the 21st of January 1906. Started his career in the 15th year of the Serenade, it was integrated into the Sexteto Morel in Puerto Plata. In 1924 with the song “Amar, eso es todo”, Santiago de los Caballeros won the first prize in the competition sponsored by Jabón Candado.

In 2012, the colloquium was named after a station on Metro Line 2 of Santo Domingo.
In the midst of the Ordinance 15-2014 of the La Romana Aid, the Wanchy Medina regiment collects its name in the ancient Calle Quinta of the renamed Villa Pereyra sector, La Romana.
