Customer vandalizes antelope wingtop over wrong order – CBS Sacramento

ANTELOPE (CBS13) – A violent reaction to a restaurant order led to chaos at a Wingstop in Antelope over the weekend.

The wings are supposed to be fiery – not the customers – but the cell phone video shows a man wild about wings getting upset about his order. In a video recorded by a witness, a man can be heard saying, “I do not want the food, I do not have time to wait for the food again, so what do we do now?”

You can hear an employee say to the man, ‘It’s like you’re rebuilding the food, and you continue your day and stop yelling at my other manager because it’s not necessary.’

Tharon Trujillo, a then-customer in the store, recorded how the man grabbed the register and hit it twice on the ground before throwing it out the window.

I told him to calm down. I said, ‘you do not want to go to jail, you do not want to go to jail,’ “Trujillo said.

Trujillo said he heard the man say the restaurant had given him the wrong order twice. When the register goes through the window, he says he is surrounded by glass.

‘I definitely shook a little when I saw it, they [employees] was definitely shaken backwards, the ladies behind were definitely shaken, and they were like thank you for staying. It’s definitely not what you see every day, ”he said.

The manager of the restaurant Wingstop says the man claims that he is missing several wings and wants a refund, which according to her according to the company policy for online orders is not allowed.

Guests at the restaurant who have experienced ordering problems in the past say they are amazed at the response.

‘It’s definitely shocking and overbearing for five wings. But I understand his anger, certainly not his actions, “said client Jason Prado.

His wife Christina Prado, also shocked by the video, said she felt bad for the employees.

“It’s really sad and unfortunate,” she said. “I feel bad for society. I think the pandemic is touching people’s heads. ”

Jennifer Johnson, who lives in the area, believes “hangry” or not, the destruction goes too far.

‘It’s crazy, I mean wings are important, trust me. “I like eating, but it’s not important,” Johnson said. ‘I have three children and we go out all the time. Our orders are always cluttered, guess what? You embrace it. ”

Witnesses say the man walked out the door and ran away after slamming the window.

The order cost now costs a potentially solid price. The store manager tells CBS13 that it cost about $ 6,000 to replace the computer-serviced registry, and they are still waiting for a quote to fix the window.

Anything over $ 950 is considered a felony. According to the Sherriff office in Sacramento County, the damage qualifies them to issue a warrant for the arrest of the man.
