Good news for Roku users (or, at least, Roku users who are desperate to taste the delicacies Real criminal mind): The streaming hardware company has announced that you do not even have to wait months for licensing transactions to be nailed down to access the large amount of content (?) available from brand new but also kind of brand new streaming service Paramount Plus on the boxes of the company. The rebranded CBS All Access will rather be available on the first day of its availability, and also for many negative first days before it because it’s just the old CBS All Access again with a bunch of new labels stuck everywhere.

Anyway: this is good news anyway, given how often the hardware firm that is most comfortable get into fights with the big streamers over its contents or not. The arguments about the Roku carriage, it does not come as a surprise, almost always to cash: The company’s basic principle is because the hardware enables streamers to connect consumers more effectively – usually to services provided by the said streamers subscriber income, or advertising revenue – that it deserves a cut in profits. It was a persistent bottleneck with Peacock of NBCUniversal, for example, because Peacock operates on its own advertising model, and NBC is not interested in giving up any of its ads upload it to a third party no matter how useful its boxes are. (They finally got it together in September last year.) HBO Max was also slow to get on board, although the problems were finally eradicated in December.

Meanwhile, Paramount Plus presumably supports the transactions that already exist for CBS All Access, a process that was presumably involved everyone involved quickly researched and replaced to swap the new name for the old one on the existing contracts. Still, this is good news if you want to watch Real world, or SpongeBob, or simply want to continue playing the absurd game of streaming service Pokémon we are all trapped now, and is desperate to have one easy place capture everyone.
