Vegas clubs suspended before Super Bowl for violating COVID-19 regulations

LAS VEGAS (KTNV) – Businesses in the Las Vegas area were visited by Clark County licensing agents before the Super Bowl Sunday and three were allegedly fined.

Larry Flynt’s Hustler Club, Spearmint Rhino and Minks Las Vegas were all given a 36-hour suspension for violating Nevada Government’s COVID-19 regulations, Steve Sisolak, during a routine inspection.

“We misunderstood some of the guidelines and took corrective action to correct them,” said Ralph James, general manager of Larry Flynt’s Hustler Club.

James says since unbundling clubs and other sex industry-related businesses is explicitly banned, it works as a different kind of business.

“There really are no guidelines for clubs, at this stage, we have heard, these are mostly bar and restaurant guidelines, so we have followed the bar and tavern guidelines regarding safety protocols,” James added.

The club says they take the safety of their customers, staff and entertainment extremely seriously and double the safety measures after the closure of the inspection.

“The big change is that the entertainers will now have tops,” James said.
