A pickup truck hit two vehicles – one that had fuel and the other one that pulled up to help – on a highway ramp Thursday just after 9 p.m., near Interstate 435 and Stadium Drive, police said.

A five-year-old girl remains in critical condition, said Capt. David Jackson, police, said Tuesday.

Police did not name Reid in public, but documents filed in court and obtained by NBC subsidiary KSHB claim Britt drove the Dodge Ram truck in the crash that took place days before the team traveled to the Super Bowl in Florida. Britt Reid is not expected to undertake the trip for the match.

In one of the court documents, a police officer wrote that Reid admitted that he was the driver and that the officer smelled ‘moderate smell of alcoholic beverages’ and that Britt Reid’s eyes were blood red and red. Asked if Britain had used prescription drugs, Britt Reid replied that he was on Aderrall. The officer wrote the document.

Britt Reid allegedly said he drank two to three drinks, according to the application for the warrant, which was looking for blood draws.

“We are still gathering information about the incident, and we will continue to assist local authorities as requested,” the Chiefs said in a statement Tuesday.

“Our focus remains on Ariel Young and her family,” the team said. “We have reached out to the family to offer them our support and resources during this difficult time, and we will continue to pray for her recovery.”

The five-year-old was one of two children in the back seat of a vehicle that stopped. The other child (4) sustained injuries that were not life-threatening.

Police declined to discuss the details Tuesday, citing the ongoing investigation. Investigations could take weeks, Jackson said.

Andy Reid addressed the crash at a news conference Sunday after the Chiefs loss in the Super Bowl.

“My heart goes out to everyone involved in the accident, especially the family with the little girl who is fighting for her life,” Andy Reid said.

He said he could not comment much further, but said: “From a human point of view, my heart bleeds, for everyone involved.”
