FBI raids home on suspected Bullhorn lady Rachel Powell from the Capitol riot

Sandy Lake, Pennsylvania The FBI on Thursday raided the home of Rachel Powell, a single parent of eight, suspected of playing a role in the assault on the US Capitol, reports CBS Pittsburgh. Agents searched the house for evidence to build a case against Powell and any clues that could indicate where she could have gone.

Neighbors say Powell and some of the younger children have not been seen for a week or more and are apparently hiding.

The FBI had until Thursday refused to even name Powell a suspect and is now offering only a brief statement indicating that the agency has obtained a warrant for the raid on the home and that they are looking for her.

“We are conducting law enforcement activities on the spot in court. We are looking into the location of Rachel Powell,” the FBI said.

Any arrest or escape warrant will be under seal and will not be made public until Powell is tracked down or surrenders herself. However, the raid confirms everything but the belief that Powell is the ‘bullhorn lady’, says CBS Pittsburgh.

Powell can be clearly seen in videos that take a capram to the Capitol the assault on January 6.

She became known as ‘the bullhorn lady’ who apparently knew about the floor plan of the Capitol building. She was seen on a video instructing insurctionationists on where to go.

Powell is of particular interest to federal investigators because if she has the knowledge, it could indicate that the assault was premeditated.

But Powell denies this in a piece in The New Yorker magazine.

The FBI posted photos of her and asked for the public’s help.

Neighbors were shocked by the raid and the reasons for it.

“It’s crazy. We’re a Republican, but we would never do anything like that. Biden is currently the president. Live with it. Get over it,” Teresa Chisholm told CBS Pittsburgh.
