Limited Run Games – the company that specializes in releasing physical versions of digital games in, as the name implies, limited runs – has confirmed that the physical releases of Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World: The Game sold more than 25,000 copies in less than three hours.
Although the game is available on both PS4 and Nintendo Switch, these figures only apply to the Switch edition, which makes the performance even more impressive and indicates the company’s “greatest version of all time”.
“In less than 3 hours we sold 25,000 copies of Scott Pilgrim on Switch!” tweeted Douglas Bogart of Limited Run Games (thanks, Siliconera). “Thank you so much for your support in making this greatest release of all time!”

Limited Run Games announced three box versions of Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game for PS4 and Switch a few days back. The physical expenses were available to pre-order on Friday 15 January and will then be available for six weeks.
The standard Scott Pilgrim: The Game physical edition costs you $ 35 and includes a novelty concert ticket for Clash at Demonhead, reversible cover art and a full-color instruction booklet. Or you could opt for the $ 55 Classic Edition, which comes in a case apparently inspired by Sega Genesis game cabinets. Finally, there is the KO edition for superfans. The one contains a case that erects a full concert with lights and music from the American chiptune band Anamanaguchi when you open it.
All physical versions of the game contain the full version, announced in September for the Scott Pilgrim: The Game’s 10th anniversary. The full edition includes the base game and two DLC packages: The Knives Chau and Wallace Wells. Limited Run says that while the physical release can currently only be pre-ordered for Switch and PS4, an Xbox One version is coming “at a future date”.
You still have time to grab one if you’re interested; pre-orders are open until the end of February 2021.
