Angie Jakusz, participant in the CBS show Survivor: Palau, died of cancer on January 8 in New Orleans, according to news reports.
Jakusz was born in Waukesha, Wisconsin and lived in San Francisco and New York before moving to New Orleans.
Jakusz was featured in the show in 2005 while working as a bartender. She immediately draws attention to the program because of her colorful tattoos. However, she disappointed low expectations and became a popular contestant among viewers. She survived several tribal councils before being voted down.
