A thermostat is also underway, GE Lighting said, though it did not provide further details.
The first product is modest. With the Cync Outdoor Smart Plug, you can remotely control two outlets (for example, for your patio lights or a fountain) using the Cync app or voice tools like Alexa and Google Assistant. There are also no prices available here, but the plug will be available in March.
A Cync Fan Speed Smart Switch will help you control fans without the need for a dedicated smart home hub, including scheduling and grouping with other devices. It will arrive in June.
The C at GE app will only switch to the Cync name in March, though it does include a feature that is an example of lighting changes based on a photo of your room. You do not have to be blindsided or plunged into the dark just to see if a change of settings works, in other words. It is safe to say that the old name may be a distant memory within the next few months, and Cync may be a viable alternative if you want to equip your entire home with equipment from one company.
