Amanda Kloots shares candid New Year message after losing her husband Nick Cordero to COVID-19

Amanda Kloots again becomes candid and deeply personal with her followers. The TV personality reflected on the start of the new year with an emotional message about her difficult holiday season after the death of her husband, Nick Cordero, agv COVID-19 in July.

“New Year’s life was tough for me, extremely difficult for me. I cried more recently than a while,” Kloots shared in a post to her Instagram story on Saturday. “I thought Christmas would be hard, it was worse.”

“I think it’s because, when the new year comes, you want a clean slate or forget about last year, especially 2020. But I can not forget about last year and will not be able to clear the slate,” he said. Kloots continued. “I also think I’m a little scared about what might happen in a year, how many things could change.”

Kloots also said she feels like “everything I went through is finally catching up with me and I am finally ready to go to therapy to address the trauma.”

Kloots and Cordero untied the knot in September 2017 and welcomed their son, Elvis, in June 2019. Cordero was hospitalized with COVID-19 in April, and after a rollercoaster three months of surgery and medical setbacks, the Broadway actor died in July. 5.

Kloots continued her emotional message, writing: ‘I share it all as my continued honesty about sadness and loss. How it decreases and flows, changes a lot. How it hides you and then finds. How it’s a journey, not just a week. How it continues, even if I stay positive and active. How you can cry for two seconds or two hours some days. How it makes you feel so lonely and confused. “

“To be honest, acknowledging it all instead of hiding it helped me. I hope it helps you,” she concluded.

In the middle of the holiday, Kloots reflected on the hardships she endured this year and the death of her husband. On Christmas Eve, she and Cordero celebrated their first Christmas with their son.

Last month, Kloots was announced as a new co-presenter for ‘The Talk’. She will join current host Elaine Welteroth Sharon Osbourne, Sheryl Underwood and Carrie Ann Inaba.
