The contribution to the removal of Gavin Newsom, governor of California, is a ‘non-partisan issue’, Fox News associate Tammy Bruce told Fox & Friends.
The “Get Tammy Bruce” Fox Nation host, who once helped with the only successful recall attempted since 1911 against the California government, Gray Davis, in 2003, Newsom complained that he was not for the people of his state not, as the campaign to recall him is a big boost in donations.
“The concern is that Gavin Newsom is doing things that benefit the lobbyist and those interests, as opposed to the people of California,” Bruce told co-presenter Griff Jenkins.

“How do you know?” she added. “Because the people of California are in dire straits and Gavin Newsom and his friends are not.”
Bruce said, “It’s the economy, dealing with COVID, the corruption, this lobbyist man. Californians do not like it and I think it will be successful.”
The attempt to recall Newsom, launched on June 10, comes amid a report by the Los Angeles Times about his friendship with lobbyist Jason Kinney, who was at the dinner that Newsom attended unmasked at The French Laundry in Napa Valley. The governor was heavily criticized for eating in person at an institution with a white truffle and caviar meal for $ 1,200 per person.
The push to remove Newsom also comes after the state allegedly gave away about $ 2 billion in fraudulent unemployment benefits in one of the states that hit the pandemic the worst.
In November, a judge extended the signature deadline to March 17, 2021, after supporters argued that their deadline should be extended by 120 days because COVID-19 was hampering their efforts.

Anne Dunsmore, campaign manager and financial director of Rescue California 2021, told Fox News in December that the effort was a “tide” against the mistakes Newsom made during the pandemic.
“Closing the beaches and closing the parks was really the beginning, what I saw on the ground, from the beginning of the end for him, as far as people take the memory seriously,” Dunsmore said.
Fox News’ Morgan Phillips contributed to this report.
