Jackson Health launches COVID-19 public vaccination campaign

MIAMI The Jackson Health System on Wednesday began giving the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine to patients aged 65 and over.

According to Lidia Amoretti, a spokeswoman for Jackson Health System, public health care will receive 15,000 extra doses of Pfizer’s vaccine given to the elderly.

The system is also preparing to launch an online platform to allow Miami-Dade County residents 65 years and older to make appointments to receive the vaccine.

Also in Miami-Dade, the Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach offers the vaccine to seniors 75 years and older. For more information, call 305-674-2312.
