
MADISON, Wis. – The number of positive cases of COVID-19 in Wisconsin rose by 727 on Wednesday, April 7, Wisconsin Department of Health officials reported for a total of 581,797.
There were 6,653 deaths in the state, with five new deaths reported by state health officials on Wednesday.

Of the positive cases, 27,894 required hospitalization (4.8%), while 567 185 recovered (97.5%), accounting for 7,715 active cases (1.3%).
More than 2.7 million tested negative. More than 3.3 million have been tested.
