PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) – Philadelphia police are investigating a possible homicide after a man was found dead at a fire scene in the city of Somerton.
The fire took place just after 7pm on Friday in the 11000 block of Greiner Road.
Officials say smoke escaped from a twin house.
A neighbor next door smelled smoke in the house and was able to open the front door where he found the homeowner, authorities said.
According to officers, a 62-year-old man was discovered on the floor in a pool of blood.
No other injuries have been reported so far.
The firefighter is currently investigating this incident.
