Police are investigating a hidden camera that contains dozens of videos of underage girls after they were hidden in a bathroom in a Tennessee gym.
A GoPro camera was found in a bathroom and dressing room in a Premier athletics facility, training young cheerleaders, gymnasts and dancers, Franklin police said Thursday. On camera, videos of 60 women in various states of undress were found, most of whom were minors.
“Detectives believe the suspect has been setting up the camera at intervals since September to record videos in the toilet,” police said.
According to police, it appears that no other toilets or private areas at the facility had hidden cameras. Authorities have identified 47 of those secretly detained and are notifying parents, the department said.
Police have not identified any suspects, but are expected to release more information.
An email sent to an address advertised on the Premier Athletics website was deemed undeliverable. The corporate office did not immediately respond to a request for comment from NBC News.
