5G Samsung Galaxy S20 series gets an Android update early, even before the Pixels

Samsung recently really sharpened its upgrade game and according to SamMobile, it appears that the South Korean manufacturer owns a working crystal ball. Although we are still in January, the Samsung Galaxy S20 series is currently receiving the Android security level for February 2021 in various countries outside the states. Of course, getting a security update early is not as exciting as getting the next version of Android early, but it’s something, right?
The security update launches in the UK and Europe for the Samsung Galaxy S20, Samsung Galaxy S20 + and the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G. Do you want a more precise breakdown of the countries where it is February? No problem. In addition to the UK, the Galaxy S20 series received the February security level last year in Austria, Bulgaria, Germany, Italy, Romania, Spain, Switzerland, the Netherlands and the Nordic countries.

If you have one of the Galaxy S20 models, you can check if the update hit your handset by checking Institutions > Software update. Tap Download and install. The update contains only the security level. Do not expect it to come with the latest version of Sammy’s UI (One UI 3.1), the latter is only available on the Galaxy S21 line and the Galaxy Tab S7 / Galaxy Tab S7 +.
