Alabama added more than 5,000 new COVID-19 cases overnight.
The January 7 figures from the Department of Public Health in Alabama show that the state has had 389,230 cases of coronavirus since March, with 5,046 added since yesterday. The state also added 86 deaths – some of which date back months – to bring the total to 5,080.
According to ADPH, the number of cases and deaths reported this week could be inflated due to delays in reporting to ADPH.
