Last year, Torre, Shaughnessy, Ramirez, Lee and Farinacci – who were between 40 and 61 years old at the time – accused NY1, a local 24-hour news station in New York, and the parent company Charter Communications of repeatedly discriminating against older women. by providing more opportunities and anchor time for younger and less experienced reporters and anchors.
At the time, a Charter Communications spokesman said the company had completed a “thorough investigation” and that the allegations “found no merit”.
