San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan general manager John Lynch and quarterback Rich Scangarello took part in Justin Fields’ pro day in Columbus, Ohio last week. The same trio will represent the team on Monday at former North Dakota State Quarter Trey Lance’s second pro practice session in Fargo per NBC Sports Bay Area.

On March 26, San Francisco gives four drafts, including their first round in the next three drafts, to the Miami Dolphins in exchange for overall number 3. The team is expected to select a future replacement for Jimmy Garoppolo, with the three leading candidates: Fields, Lance and Mac Jones of Alabama.
Jones was the most popular favorite to be number 3 until Fields’ training session last week. Oddsmakers then placed the former Ohio State Buckeye at the top of the list. Lance’s workout Monday could have a similar impact.
The 2021 NFL Draft begins on April 29 from Cleveland, Ohio.

Justin Fields of Ohio State will hold his second pro workout on Wednesday, April 14th. Kyle Shanahan, head coach of the San Francisco 49ers, and John Lynch, general manager, are expected to attend. Both missed the former Buckeye full-back’s first pro day to attend Mac Jones’ training session in Tuscaloosa. Shanahan and Lynch also get the chance to see North Dakota State quarterback Trey Lance in person. He is holding a second pro day on Monday, April 19 – ten days before the start of the 2021 NFL draft. North Dakota QB Trey Lance is now planning his second pro day for April 19, or ten days before.

It’s almost two weeks since NFL Media analyst Lance Zierlein unveiled his latest mock concept. In it, he had the San Francisco 49ers Trey Lance of the North Dakota state select with the overall number 3 instead of Justin Fields of the state of Ohio or Mac Jones of Alabama.
