4,863 new COVID-19 cases in Alabama

Alabama has added another 4,863 coronavirus cases since yesterday.

Data from the Department of Public Health in Alabama on Jan. 9 show that the state has now recorded 399,150 COVID-19 cases since March. The state added 108 deaths – some of which date months ago – to make it 5,599.

Hospitalizations dropped slightly to 2,995.
