4-year-old child finds the dinosaur footprint with her father

A 220 million-year-old dinosaur footprint was found by a 4-year-old on a beach in Wales.

Lily Wilder found the well-preserved footprint in Bendricks Bay earlier this month, and scientists say it could help them understand how dinosaurs run. Paleontology curator Cindy Howells of the National Museum in Wales told the BBC that the picture, which is about four centimeters long, ‘is the best example ever found on this beach’.

According to the report, Wilder found the print while walking on the beach with her father, Richard Wilder.

“Lily saw it when they walked in and said, ‘Daddy,'” her mother Sally Wilder said. “When Richard came home and showed me the picture, I thought it looked amazing.”

Scientists said they could not know what kind of dinosaur left behind the footprint preserved in mud.
