The New York Giants are heading for an important off-season season. They have lost ten or more games four seasons in a row in the league that basically does not allow such disability.
The current system is set up so that teams can get back on their feet after three losing seasons. The Giants, under the supervision of general manager Dave Gettleman, did not follow the text and paid the price.
The draft strategy can only be set before they see what is happening in free agencies. If they happen to lock up one – or both – of their star-defending lineouts and add an attacking playmaker in free agency, their draft strategy will naturally change in the first three rounds.
Either way, there are players who simply cannot pass on number 11 overall. Here are four of them.
Kyle Pitts, TE, Florida

Kyle Pitts should be the giants in April. He is a prototype in a league who greatly appreciates the position. The Giants may say nice things about Evan Engram, but he’s true, he can not be trusted. They’ll take Pitts to heart here – and they should.
In very simple concept simulations, Pitts lasts up to no. 11 and teams would love to act to get him. My advice is to weigh any deal that offers a first time before the number 25 plus two other choices in the first 100. Otherwise, Pitts is a giant. He will provide Daniel Jones with a good goal that will move the chains and open things up in the red zone.

Patrick Surtain will likely be on board if the Giants are at number 11. Unless they are happy with their then no. 2 outside the corner, it makes a lot of sense to take Surtain. He would add another potential talent at the Pro Bowl level to the Giants’ already talented secondary, and would free them up to grab players for other positions in the ensuing rounds.
Jaylen Waddle, WR, Alabama

Jaylen Waddle was very noisy at the moment, causing some fear to take him. He’s not exactly what the Giants need, but I can see how they would choose him if he were to drop out of the Top 10.
Waddle would provide the Giants a game creator in both offensive and special teams, and we know how much they value special teams. Waddle is a player for whom opponents have to play a plan, which the Giants do not have at the moment.

Micah Parsons is a top-5 talent that many teams may choose reluctantly due to some questionable off-field issues. Whether the reports let him fall into free fall is another matter. If they do, the Giants will have to consider Parsons here. After missing Devin White by one choice two years ago, they will be seriously debating taking Parsons, who many believe is a better prospect than White.
