4 players on the team’s free agency wish list

In his NFL free agency preview for The Government Gazette (An entry is required for the link), Woody Paige has listed four players who will be on the Denver Broncos’ “wish list” this offseason.

Paige has indicated that Broncos general manager George Paton will show interest in linebacker Eric Wilson a cornerbacks Troy hill, William Jackson III and Jason Verrett.

Wilson (6-1, 230 pounds) is a 26-year-old linebacker who was signed by the Minnesota Vikings (Paton’s former team) as a free agent of Cincinnati following the NFL draft in 2017. He in 2020 118 tackles, eight passes, three pockets and three interceptions.

Hill (5-11, 183 pounds) is a 29-year-old cornerback who has scored seven distinctions at the Los Angeles Rams in six seasons.

Jackson (6-0, 196 pounds) is a 27-year-old defensive back selected by the Cincinnati Bengals in the first round of the 2016 NFL draft. He broke 41 passes in 59 career games.

Verrett (5-10, 188 pounds) is a 29-year-old cornerback who entered the league in 2014 as the first round with the San Diego (now Los Angeles) Chargers. He broke seven passes and grabbed two interceptions with the San Francisco 49ers last season.

NFL teams can begin negotiations with free agents on March 15, but signings – and trade – will only become official on March 17.
