4 dead found at SWAT scene in eastern Harris County, sheriff says

HOUSTON Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said Wednesday – four people, including a shooting suspect, were killed at a SWAT scene in eastern Harris County.

Deputies said they were sent to the 14300 block of Lourdes Drive after receiving a call from a woman around 3:15 a.m. saying she had been shot.

When delegates arrived at the scene, they began approaching the residence, and an unknown suspect shot at them, investigators said.

According to HCSO, the suspect barricaded himself inside the residence. Delegates at the scene were heard on a megaphone saying, ‘Louis, come out of the house. We are here to help you and not hurt. ‘

During the investigation, deputies learned that there were other people in the house. Gonzalez said when they entered the house after hearing a gunshot, they found two women and two men dead. Deputies believe one of the men was the suspect.

According to investigators, the homicide-suicide stems from domestic violence. Gonzalez said the suspect, a 49-year-old man, was in a relationship with one of the women. The man has younger children, but they were not in the residence at the time of the incident, deputies said.

Deputies said the two other victims may have been the adult children of the woman in a relationship with the suspect.

This is an evolving story. Check back for updates.
