Utah’s endgame bill, formally known as House Bill 294, requires all state and local health orders related to COVID-19 to end on the day Utah reaches the threshold in three key statistics: the 14-day state rate is less than 191 per 100,000 people, the seven-day average use of COVID-19 intensive care unit is below 15%, and 1,633,000 primary doses of the COVID-19 vaccine have been allocated to Utah.

As of Tuesday, Utah is reaching the threshold in the first two measurements. The 14-day rate is reported at 176.7 and the COVID-19 ICU usage average of the past seven days is around 9.3%. As of last week, Utah has been allocated only 920,515 first-dose doses.

Primary doses refer to the first dose of Pfizer and Moderna vaccines, and the only dose of Johnson & Johnson vaccine. The administration of the prime dose is updated only once a week, and the grant, according to health officials, is expected to reach the threshold of 1 633 000 by the second or third week of May.
