3 things to know on National Signing Day

LSU head coach Ed Orgeron knows a thing or two about recruiting, and he’s almost done before the national signing day.

The Tigers currently have 22 players signed or committed within the 2021 class.

Although LSU has done well in its task of filling places, there are still a few areas where the Tigers can afford to pick up an extra player to strengthen the roster after next season.

Here are three things to keep in mind:

1. Defense: the lineout position and the secondary.

Lost linebacker Jabril Cox certainly leaves a gap in the defense for Orgeron and his company to fill. The Tigers signed inner court Nevonteque Strong and outer court Zavier Carter.

As for the secondary, LSU was in the rust for Dontae Balfour of Florida and he signed cornerback Damarius McGhee.

The Tigers can add someone else here.
