The New Orleans Saints are entering this off-season with many changes taking place in the near future. While the future for full-back Drew Brees is still in the air, he is expected to announce his retirement any day.
As the Brees era is likely to come to an end, the Saints are in an interesting position to take over at Quarterback next season and in the foreseeable future. On top of that, the Saints currently have the worst cap space in the league, nearly $ 100 million above the projected cap.
The Saints also lost assistant head coach Dan Campbell and defense coach Aaron Glenn to the Detroit Lions, as well as assistant general manager Terry Fontenot to the Atlanta Falcons.

With all that said, the team is probably going to enter a new life cycle because they really want to rebuild and cut the grid to rubble to get under the cap. This off-season will bring a lot of questions, the first of which is who will be the teams starting next term? Who are the cap victims and who can afford the team to really expand?
But since the team is likely to break down the rankings, what major named players will be willing to stay when they can get more on the free market? Are there other quarterback options on the free market / draft, or does it stick with someone who is currently on the roster? Is anyone else being stripped? Which direction should the team take with a long-term outlook, knowing that they will be in a competitive window for at least the next year or two?
What are their options in the 2021 NFL draft?
