EL PASO, Texas – Health officials reported three more coronavirus deaths Sunday morning, raising the death toll from El Paso County to 1,582.
The latest victims were two men in their 60s and a woman in her 80s.
This mortality rate will continue to grow as more than 500 probable virus deaths are currently being investigated. Once officials confirm the cause of death as Covid-19, those individuals are officially added to the count.
Meanwhile, 365 more infections were reported on Sunday, with a total of 35,467 active cases.
In El Paso’s hospitals, officials said 447 Covid-19 patients were cared for on Sunday morning. Of these, 152 were listed in intensive care while 100 remained in ventilators.
El Paso’s cumulative number of virus cases stands at 106,667, with health leaders estimating 69,048 repairs. However, doctors warn that some recovering people may still experience ongoing health problems due to infection.
