There are more reports that Jim Harbaugh and Michigan football will soon agree on an extension, and if he does, here are three dream assistant coaches.

There have been many conversations about Michigan football and Jim Harbaugh agreeing on a new contract. On Saturday, another outlet reported that an agreement was imminent.

This time it was Bruce Feldman who reported on Twitter that Harbaugh and the Wolverines near 2026 were close to an agreement on a new deal.

It comes on the heels of a report by Chris Balas of The Wolverine (subscription required) on Friday that something could be announced within a few days.

Feldman’s information further confirms this and is the first national reporter to have really said something like that. The duration of the transaction is longer than previously reported. But getting something done is the most important thing.

It’s now time to fill in the rest of the staff, which Balas has indicated could happen soon too, especially now with the baking season mostly over except for one game.

Since the dismissal of defense coordinator Don Brown, there has been much talk about who would replace him, as well as what other additions could be made to the staff.

And now that it looks like Harbaugh will be at the Wolverines again, it looks like a good chance to look at a number of rental commitments Harbaugh could make in the coming days to help him turn this program around for good.
