25 years later Adam Sandler still has the ‘Happy Gilmore’ golf swing

On the 25th anniversary of ‘Happy Gilmore’, Adam Sandler proved he still has it.

In the film, Sandler appears as Happy Gilmore, a wannabe hockey player who never made it and ended up in golf instead. He develops a rivalry with, uh, confident golf professor Shooter McGavin, played by Christopher McDonald. And of course, Shooter is not going to keep quiet after being called out by Happy.

Sandler’s swing has been followed for years and years by hackers – and even some professionals. Of course, some of the other classic lines, like when a stop doesn’t fall, scream like Sandler, “Why don’t you just go home? This is your house. Are you too good for your house? I answer!” repeat over … and over … and over.

Ben Stiller, who played a furious orderly player in the nursing home where Happy’s grandmother lived, jumped in to commemorate the big day.
