Last month, Lexus introduced the IS F Sport Performance label and introduced the line with it 2022 IS 500 F Sport Performance. On Friday, the company shared a special group of these cars to mark the arrival in 2022 Lexus IS 500 F Sport Performance launch edition. Yes, it’s a mouthful of names, I know, but I do not mention the shots on Lexus.
What is this car? A seriously limited production vehicle with only 500 planned. North Americans are also the only ones to receive the IS 500 F Sport Performance Launch Edition. Most of them will end up in the United States. The special edition does not differ much from the standard IS 500, but looks really good with a few extra touches. The car rides mainly on a set of 19-inch BBS wheels, which also shave £ 12 off the IS 500’s final weight. The color, called Incognito, is also exclusive to the F Sport Performance Launch Edition and really emphasizes the black wheels and other accents. The latest IS may not be entirely new, but I think the refreshing look is overall great. These additions look even better.
Inside, Lexus packs each of the 500 cars with black and gray Ultrasuede material to cut off the seats, doors and center console, while the steering wheel has silver ash wood trim. F Sport Performance badges are a given here, but each car also has a serial commemorative plaque commemorating each car as one of 500. Oh yes, and shooting the car shows a different start-up animation compared to other IS 500 models.
Lexus said it plans to share some more details about the Launch Edition and the standard IS 500 F Sport Performance, closer to when the cars are ready to ship this fall.
