Behind just the spectacle that is WrestleMania, the Royal Rumble is the second most anticipated WWE show on the calendar. It’s an event centered on surprises and career-changing events, as one man and one woman will secure the right to a world championship at WrestleMania in April.
In addition to the few matches for 30 participants, there is also an interesting series of matches. The 54-year-old legend Goldberg returns to the match to play WWE champion Drew McIntyre in one of the world’s world title matches. Kevin Owens also gets another chance at Roman Reigns and the universal championship when the two fight in a Last Man Standing match. On the women’s side, Carmella will challenge Sasha Banks for the SmackDown women’s championship, while Charlotte Flair and Asuka will defend the women’s titles against former champion Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax.
